Phi Sigma Sigma was founded at Hunter College in New York, New York on November 26, 1913. Ten amazing
women, pictured below, had ideas well before their time. They wanted to create a sorority they could all be a part of, regardless of religion or background. in mind, Phi Sigma Sigma became the first non-sectarian sorority open to any woman. The twin ideals being brotherhood of mankind and the alleviation of the world's pain and three core values to live by-lifelong learning, leadership through service and inclusiveness. Today there are over 100 collegiate chapters throughout the United States and Canada, and the sisterhood and values instilled by our founders still remain stronger than ever.
